    We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing regularly takes place only with the user's consent or where permitted by Art. 6 GDPR.

    3. Hosting (Firebase Hosting)

    This website is hosted via Firebase Hosting by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When the website is accessed, the following access data is automatically processed:

    • IP address (stored truncated)
    • Date and time of access
    • URL requested and referrer URL
    • Browser type, operating system, language
    • Transferred data volume, HTTP status code

    Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). The data is stored for a maximum of 14 days and deleted thereafter. A data processing agreement with Google is in place.

    We use cookies and browser storage (localStorage) to provide certain features:

    Technically necessary storage

    Language preferences and your cookie consent are stored locally in your browser. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

    Analytics cookies (optional)

    Only with your explicit consent do we additionally use Google Analytics (see section 5). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.

    5. Google Analytics (on consent only)

    If you have given consent, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyze the use of our website.

    The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP addresses are anonymized prior to transmission. Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

    Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Retention period: 14 months.

    6. Embedded YouTube videos

    Individual media pages embed videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) in extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com). In this mode, YouTube sets no cookies until you actively start a video. When starting, data may be transmitted to YouTube. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

    7. Fonts (self-hosted)

    We self-host the "Inter" typeface. No transmission to external CDN providers occurs.

    8. Contact via email

    When you contact us by email, the transmitted data is used exclusively to process your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for its purpose.

    We use SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" in the address bar.
